BIO
Tressa is from a 6th generation Delta farming & musical family. She attended Cosumnes River College as a music major and has sung in church & school choirs, weddings, memorials, and other special events, all of her life. She sang in her father’s band, “The New Holland Combine” for over 25 years, the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society, and has performed the National Anthem for the River Cats & other sports events over the past 12 years.

After recording her 1st CD, “Sentimental” (Jazz & Gospel) in 2010 (sold 400 copies,) she was asked to be the lead vocalist for a professional cover band performing classic rock, country, blues, oldies, and some originals for over six years. That led to her recording her 2nd CD, “Gettin’ Foxy” in 2014 (a collection of the above mentioned genres’ that has sold 350 copies, so far.)

In July 2017, she started her own band, “Tressa Gaye & Friends” and performs as a duo, trio, or 4-5 piece band at wineries, breweries, and many other local venues. She also occasionally performs with “The Bone Shakers,” a classic rock, blues, country, and oldies cover band. In 2020 she started a new project with the multi-talented, Billy Chiechi, as “Tressa Gaye’s Twisted Jazz,” performing popular songs and standards in new and different genres’- joined by the phenomenal Mr. Otis Mourning on reeds!
